ANOTHER PARADISE, LOST RGAaPoet@aol.com Our crime cursed land was meant to be A paradise on earth, Where bells would ring, incessantly, Of love, and peace, and mirth. Some finer men, like Angels, came To set a set of rules, Called "Constitution".... How that name Became a bane for fools. These fools assume those finer men Had hidden meanings where The ageless wisdom of their pen Just dazzled, being so clear.... So clear and simple, their design, These fools cannot relate -- They misinterpret every line, And foul up every state! Maybe that paradise is lost. The few just search in vain. Regardless of the bitter cost, Eden won't bloom again! There was that Eden, once -- you know, That earthly paradise -- Where Satan came, and dimmed the glow, And clouded up men's eyes.
